Sacred Sound

"In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the Beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made." Gospel of St. John, Chapter 1, Verse 1-3.

Sacred Sound is Light, felt or heard as a waveform within the subtle and physical bodies of all beings. One might say that we are 'transducers', and we both generate and receive these vibrations of Spirit. Sound, and to a lesser degree music, emanates from throughout the light/vibration spectrum. We currently cannot hear or see the finest aspects of the entire spectrum, nor are we able to measure what is beyond sub-sonic frequencies or gamma ray radiations.

The phenomena of psychic projections and soul essence occur in octaves considerably higher beyond those of any known material manifestations. These should be considered as following the frequencies given above.

The activity of Sacred Sound is instantly recognizable by people. It calms and uplifts us. It can inspire us. It heals the mind, emotions, body and even the Soul. We feel at home when we encounter pieces of 'music' that carry the textures within our deepest core. Sacred sounds abound within Nature and the Cosmos. Indeed, many sacred writings indicate that Creation Itself was birthed, and continues to be sustained, by the Great Om, or Celestial Choir that permeates the Universe. This is the background 'hum' that undulates rhythmically as the Cosmic Pulse or Rainbow Bridge connecting the finite to the Infinite.

The essence of Sacred Sound can also be infused in the vocal patterns. As an individual becomes more authentic, more heart-centered, then it can be perceived in that person's vocal quality. The listener 'feels' that person's voice is if it were the truth within oneself. One then is 'entrained' toward a consciousness that is based in unity, with the Voice as a guide.

As a musician, I have always been aware of the value of certain tonal qualities and harmonies that feel like 'home' to me. The tone canvasses that I channel are designed to evoke a remembrance of Self and Source. Sometimes I will use voice alone, or voice with a music bed, depending on what the intent from Spirit is in any given moment.
