“Gaia Speaks”Around the middle of January my partner Lynn emailed me a copy of the November Message from Archangel Ariel with the word ‘Read Now’ in the subject line. As I scanned the familiar words I noticed things that I hadn’t noticed before when I read it last November. One of the things that really stuck out was the mention of waiting 90 days to see how things look and feel by early February. At that time the channeling focused on climate and earth changes, after which Ariel then veered into an interesting area…non-dualistic perspectives and the phenomena and process of miracles. The subject of miracles now keeps coming back to me from a variety of sources, especially in light of what is unfolding within the consciousness of the very Planet we all inhabit. Times ahead will require us to trust in the truth of miracles.
After reading the entire Message, I realized why I hadn’t felt at all inspired to write or produce a Newsletter since that one in November, and it was because I have been ‘waiting’; waiting for the 90 days to elapse so that I could access the reflection of my own inner workings during this time, and be open to the energies from the subtle dimensions. The winter here in Scotland added to the internalization, since at this latitude we only get 7 to 8 and-a-half hours of sunlight each day. It felt like being in the womb.
Then in mid-January, a bombshell was dropped on the front pages of The Independent, one of Britain’s most trustworthy newspapers. The headline: Green Guru Says: ‘We Are Past the Point of No Return.’ Who is this Green Guru? He is James Lovelock, a leading environmental scientist here in the U.K. About thirty years ago Lovelock proposed a new view for the Earth’s biosphere that he dubbed ‘bio-cybernetic universal system tendency.’ His theory conceived of the Planet as a self-regulating super organism that was actually alive! Sound familiar? His initial target audiences were other environmental researchers and climatologists, but they virtually ignored him and the theory. It was the newly burgeoning environmental ‘green’ and New Age movements that embraced the idea of a conscious, living Planet. They came to regard the Earth as Mother, and she needed to be respected, not abused (cue Indigenous wisdom, ala Mayans, ala Native Americans, etc.). It took some time, but eventually the entire scientific establishment became convinced of the accuracy of Lovelock’s model, that, quote, ‘the Earth possesses a planetary control system, founded on the interaction of living organisms with their environment, which has operated for billions of years to allow life to exist.’ Now, he says, we are facing the unthinkable, that these very systems (he refers to them as feedback systems) that the Planet uses to sustain life are now working against us. We have done too much to add to the global warming via greenhouse gases, at a time while the Sun has been busily heating up the Planet (see Solar Max Cycle). Now the Earth’s feedback control systems are amplifying the effects into an exponential temperature increase, and it is unstoppable. Or, so the theory goes.
After I absorbed Mr. Lovelock’s editorial and the two accompanying articles, I felt tears welling up in me, a kind of recognition that tells me that my feelings about this began decades ago. Mr. Scientist may be wrong, and he may be right, but he recognized a long time ago that there is a thread of connectivity in all of the Planet’s systems and the life in, on and above it, and we cannot ignore the potential in his warnings. Nor is there any reason to abandon hope. We do, however, need to remove our blinkers and our tinted glasses and see clearly, for denial is useless and untenable, and the unthinkable may be upon us. According to Lovelock, time is not on our side. Awhile back when I heard Eckhart Tolle say (‘Even the Sun Will Die’) that unless there is a major arising of the new consciousness, we have as little as 100 years left before the Planet can no longer support our species, or many other life forms as well. That statement was from 2001.
There is no way to know what exactly what Gaia will do, or how things will unfold, but the signs are here and now. Indigenous elders the world over are greatly concerned about what the climate is doing. The Inuit tribes cannot hunt because the ice is melting. The polar bears are drowning because the ice is melting. Islands in the Southwestern Pacific are drowning because the ice is melting. Welcome to Water and Fire Redux.
Years ago at a presentation in Sedona, a questioner asked Ariel what more could be done to save the Earth. The answer shocked everyone. Ariel said that the Earth did not need saving, and that She was quite capable of saving Herself. Furthermore, She had a Divine mandate to do whatever was necessary in order to regain equilibrium and ascend into a new expression of Herself, with or without us, if necessary.
The process we are in is the awakening from the Dream of Unconsciousness, and part of that unconsciousness is how humanity, through 250 years of linear, reductionist thinking, has cut itself off from the intricate and intimate world of Nature. The Planetary body is now reacting like it has a fever, and the immune system is beginning to kick in to fight the invaders…us.
How we respond, spiritually, ethically, and in actuality will determine the quality of our re-entering into a harmonious and synergistic relationship with Nature and the Earth. Nothing less than a total commitment to Planetary needs over human rights is what the challenge will be. There seems to be little time left to ponder whether we act, only how quickly we rise to the occasion. To respond will require us to become spiritual ecologists.
Many of you may deny what is coming. Many more will wonder ‘what can I do, and what must be done?’ Yes, a change in our consciousness IS required, along with an equally expanded capacity to love and serve spiritually through our devotion to this Planet’s welfare. Asking for guidance from our Source and the Earth will reawaken our intuition and instinct as to what ideas and actions contribute to the affirmation of Life, and it must arise from something other than our desire to fix stuff so that we can continue as we have been.
As Lovelock states, we must first and foremost ‘do nothing that would harm the patient (Earth).’ Each individual, each region and then each nation must act locally in caring for the Planet. It is not in the scope of this newsletter to list all the possible actions and tools that would assist in this process. However, I have included links in the section following this to all the source articles for your investigations (‘LINKS TO ARTICLES ON GAIA’). Also, the Internet can provide us all access to a reliable database for culling the information which will serve for the adventure of our lives.
Almost a year ago, as I was experiencing a shift in awareness about the nature of all things and of non-things, of unity and duality, I was exposed to an idea that God did not inhabit Creation, had nothing to do with it in the first place, and that in truth this is an imperfect Universe that is the product of our collective errors, imperfections and separation-ridden minds. Sounds complicated I know, but basically, even though I know that this reality isn’t truly ‘Reality’, somehow it just didn’t make sense that all that is glorious and beautiful in the Universe is just some happy accident of our consciousness. That the Divine can exist inside of us as our own True Nature, and not exist in Nature Herself is another form of separation.
We may have done ourselves in by playing at being the Creator a long time ago (the Fall?), and all that is not in harmony or beautiful are the distortions of that in the pattern of Creation. Since we’ve forgotten how it all happened in the first place, how could we possibly understand how to live in harmony on Earthly Paradise? That’s just it, we can’t! We still don’t understand how it all works together and how it all functions, or otherwise we wouldn’t have made the choices we collectively and individually made in the past in the first place! So, I have come back to my ‘senses’ and can now see that Gaia and I are as one, as God and I are One, and I will never split things up again.
All that we see as destructive and ugly outside of us is inside of our minds, and it is just projected onto the Universe and by inference, Gaia. However, the Essence of that creation is also in us and of us. Whatever is going on with Gaia, and our Sun, is inside of us. Edgar Cayce said as much in the 1930’s, and it’s been reiterated by many others for millennia.
Also, for the past three years Lynn and I have been shown how our collective denial of the Sacred Fire, the innocent sexuality/sensuality within all of us, especially the denial of the Feminine at core levels, has led to our current predicament with the environment. This also applies to every other facet of life here on Gaia, as we are all involved with the reconciliation of opposites. Individually and jointly, we will be sharing more about how a radical shift in our understanding of relationships and sexuality will be vital part of the healing of our personal and collective past, and cooperating with Planetary change. When we make any sort of disconnect within our minds, the repercussions are multidimensional and exponential, and the easiest way to resolving all the conflicts is the principle of unity. The words of Yeshua the Christ in the Nag Hammadi scrolls state it simply and purely…’when you make the male as the female, and the female as the male; when you make the two one, and the inside becomes to outside, and the outside the inside, then you will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.’
Our bodies are from Gaia’s body. Our collective mind is intimately meshed with the Planet. Through our eyes, Gaia has seen Herself from space, and we now recognize that no matter how temporary it might be for, She is our Mother, our Home, and for reasons beyond us, our destiny is inexorably bound up with Hers. Back in the beginning of my work with Archangel Ariel, she (he) used to start public events with a bad joke. Ariel would say that he (she) had bad news and good news, and asked which one the group would want to hear first. Sometimes folks would ask for the bad news first, other times it would be the good news. But the answer was always to the same for both, ‘It is the end of the world, as you have known it.’
We have proven that we are unreliable stewards of this Planet, and therefore we are humbled to open ourselves and ask for a Higher Wisdom to permeate our consciousness so that we may learn to finally live in harmony with Gaia, and the rest of Creation as well. Otherwise, the Universe, and in particular this Earth, will continue to reflect to us our misbegotten creations, and the Earth will eventually do what is necessary to self-regulate and re-balance itself.
Begin the dialog between your Spirit, your Soul, your humanity and the Planet. Listen well, and follow your Divine Intuition and your human instincts. Pray globally…act locally. We’re all in this together…all of Us.

‘Fairies Stop Developers' Bulldozers In Their Tracks’

January 23, 2006Villagers who protested that a new housing estate would “harm the fairies” living in their midst have forced a property company to scrap its building plans and start again.
Marcus Salter, head of Genesis Properties, estimates that the small colony of fairies believed to live beneath a rock in St Fillans, Perthshire, has cost him £15,000 ($27,500). His first notice of the residential sensibilities of the netherworld came as his diggers moved on to a site on the outskirts of the village, which crowns the easterly shore of Loch Earn.
He said: “A neighbour came over shouting, ‘Don’t move that rock. You’ll kill the fairies’.” The rock protruded from the centre of a gently shelving field, edged by the steep slopes of Dundurn mountain, where in the sixth century the Celtic missionary St Fillan set up camp and attempted to convert the Picts from the pagan darkness of superstition.
“Then we got a series of phone calls, saying we were disturbing the fairies. I thought they were joking. It didn’t go down very well,” Mr Salter said.In fact, even as his firm attempted to work around the rock, they received complaints that the fairies would be “upset”. Mr Salter still believed he was dealing with a vocal minority, but the gears of Perthshire’s planning process were about to be clogged by something that looked suspiciously like fairy dust.
“I went to a meeting of the community council and the concerns cropped up there,” he said. The council was considering lodging a complaint with the planning authority, likely to be the kiss of death for a housing development in a national park. Jeannie Fox, council chairman, said: “I do believe in fairies but I can’t be sure that they live under that rock. I had been told that the rock had historic importance, that kings were crowned upon it.” Her main objection to moving the rock was based on the fact that it had stood on the hillside for so long: a sort of MacFeng Shui that many in the village subscribe to.
“There are a lot of superstitions going about up here and people do believe that things like standing stones and large rocks should never be moved,” she said.Half a mile into Loch Earn is Neish Island. From there the Neish clan set forth to plunder the surrounding country, retreating each time to their island. Early in the 17th century, the MacNabs retaliated from the next valley, carrying a boat over the mountains, storming the island and slaughtering most of the Neishes.
This summer Betty Neish McInnes, the last of that line in St Fillans, went to her grave — but not before she had imparted the ancient Pict significance of the rock to many of her neighbours.
“A lot of people think the rock had some Pictish meaning,” Mrs Fox said. “It would be extremely unlucky to move it.”
Mr Salter did not just want to move the rock. He wanted to dig it up, cart it to the roadside and brand it with the name of his new neighbourhood.The Planning Inspectorate has no specific guidelines on fairies but a spokesman said: “Planning guidance states that local customs and beliefs must be taken into account when a developer applies for planning permission.” Mr Salter said: “We had to redesign the entire thing from scratch.”
The new estate will now centre on a small park, in the middle of which stands a curious rock. Work begins next month, if the fairies allow.

Greetings of Peace“Give Me Liberty, or…how I spent my summer vacation.”

I know it has been awhile since the last Spiritlife Newsletter, but as you can see from the title line above, some changes have been in the works. From this issue forward the Spiritlife Newsletter becomes Pure Divine Love Newsletter. The changes reflect this new website, puredivinelove.com which is ‘live’ and operational, although there is still a great deal of work to do.
Since that last newsletter I’ve been through a series of deep initiations. These began around the time of pilgrimage that Lynn and I made just before the March Equinox to the Magdalene and Templar sites in the south of France. My cycle of journeying inwards really began almost two years ago, but it has taken on a much stronger focus for me during the past five months. How does one describe all the myriad details of each shift in Self-realization? Then again, who’s got time to catalog the mind’s demands to sort it all out and label each piece? The culmination of this cycle occurred in early June when I traveled back to my roots on the East Coast of the United States, and experienced a ‘soul retrieval’ by time-traveling to my past, my roots, and reconnecting with aspects of myself in order to become aware of my Soul’s desire for the next step.
The first part of the journey began on June 2nd, and as I left the ground at Glasgow International and scanned the greening countryside north towards Loch Lomond, my heart pulsed with the knowing that Scotland is truly my ‘home’. Although no place has ever felt like home to me for long, I did feel the sense of ‘I am gonna miss this place’ as the jet climbed into the blue. Except for the two-hour delay in leaving O’Hare International, the trip itself was uneventful. One thing bugged me though; why does American Airlines fly from Glasgow to Newark, NJ….via Chicago? Very silly, and not enviro-friendly at all.
I spent the first few days with my friend Sheryl (see www.newparadigmhealing.com) hanging out in Freehold, NJ. North Jersey is an interesting place. The beaches around Asbury Park (hello to the ‘Boss’) and Belmar are lovely, and the architecture is decidedly dated from a more uncomplicated era. It was good to visit a part of the East Coast I’d never been to before, and it was wonderful to connect with Sheryl and meet her new canine friend, Laila.
On June 4th, I headed for Richmond, Virginia. I’ve worked in Richmond many times, and have made many good friends over the years. After a welcome back party, and catching up with folks, I set my plans to visit a powerful place in American pre-Revolutionary War history. I was going to visit St. John’s Church in east Richmond, the site of the 2nd Virginia House of Burgesses (Assembly) that made the decision to form a Continental Army and to fight a war of revolution against British rule, and the 6th of June was a significant date related to that Assembly.
Over the Spring Equinox, March 20th-23rd, 1775, delegates of the Assembly debated the possibilities of launching a war of independence against England. The discussions were heated and intense, with many pros and cons explored. The very reason they all had to meet in Richmond was that if they had held the meeting at the Virginia State House in Williamsburg, the British Army would have arrested them for treason against the Crown. On the last day of the assembly, the fiery orator Patrick Henry took the floor and gave his memorable speech to the delegates, a speech which was witnessed by Col. George Washington, Thomas Paine and George Marshall. Mr. Henry defined the word ‘patriot’ and his eloquence that day moved the crowd of Richmond’s citizens that hung on his words. I will not reproduce his entire speech here, but his closing words still resonate:
‘…It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace-- but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!’
On that day, the Assembly voted to resist Crown taxes and create a militia. Little more than a year later, on July 4th, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia. Patrick Henry went on to become a leader among leaders in the American Revolution. He later served in the Continental Congress and was a three-time Governor of the State of Virginia. He died on June 6th, 1799 at Red Hill Farm, Virginia.
My experiences at the church that day were complex and cathartic. I felt the air pulse around the spot on the floor where Patrick Henry paced as he spoke. The ghosts of freedom hovered like sparks in the air that morning, whispering a courage that we’ve long disremembered. I felt the love that I’ve had for the land of my birth rekindle, and at the same time I felt that this was an inner farewell to my own longings from other times. I left shaken and moved. Hours later I began to feel myself coming back to ‘reality’, and losing the sense of time travel that I often experience when I’ve integrated a past life or a soul thread fragment. I was ready to leave Richmond.
On the morning of the 7th, I started my trip to my birthplace…Allentown, Pennsylvania. I hadn’t been there since the fall of 1990, when my mother transitioned, and I had actually avoided going there on two other occasions when it would have been only and hour’s drive from where I was facilitating workshops. I just wasn’t ready at those times to face my past completely.
When I arrived at the outskirts west of Allentown, I felt the strong pull off the freeway and found the farmhouse I grew up in. This is the same place wherein I had experienced the ‘event’ when I was seven years old that I describe on my website, the experience that challenged me for 38 years until it was brought fully into consciousness in 1994.
In spite of the many changes to the landscape, along with the addition of new homes, I managed to find the house. No one was at home when I got there, and a light rain had begun to fall. The house was built in 1859, just before the American Civil War. All the stucco I remembered has been removed, and now plain stone, mortar and wood adorn the exterior walls. New trees have grown fast and tall, while older ones that were short when I was a boy, towered over what now seems like a small house. The barn and three out-buildings are still standing, but the Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs on the barn have become lost under new coats of paint. I left a note in the door for the owner, requesting an opportunity to visit the next day, and then left. I did hear from her that night, and arranged for a time the next morning.
After arriving at the farm the next day, the owner showed me the documents that she and her daughter had accumulated about the house and all the previous owners, including the deeds, property maps, and blueprints. After reviewing the memorabilia, I got a tour of the place. I could not get over the fact that it looked and felt much smaller than I remembered, however my last memories of living here were 44 years ago, and through a seven-year old’s eyes, all was much different.
Next came a walk through of the outbuildings near the main house. The summer house stilled had that same musty, dusty smell that was there in the 1950’s, and the smokehouse still smelled like cooked bacon. The barn and pigsty across the road now belonged to someone else, and since I had no pull to investigate them, I didn’t bother. My main attention was now on walking down through the new forest of locust and elm trees that now grew over the original meadow and creek, so that I could see if I might sense the spot where I had the angelic encounter 49 years earlier, in 1957.
I wondered down the path with the creek on my left. In 1957 there was no path, and I usually had to pick my way through high grasses and cattails, keeping the creek to my right. The work the previous owner and the new owner had done to clean up the creek and effectively removed some of the swampy areas and made the going much easier. My shoes and socks were grateful, however the previous day’s rain still made it soggy going. After about 200 feet, my inner voice said ‘stop.’ I looked to my left at a little turn in the creek and knew I’d found the place. It took a few steps over the creek, then knelt down to just soak up whatever would happen next.
Very soon a feeling of being that child of seven came over me. Some tears flowed, and there was definitely stillness in the air and woods around me that said ‘you are not alone here.’ The beauty of the place was amazing, and tears gave way to feelings of gratitude and relief, relief for having made the time to come back and collect the energy and memories of one scared little kid. In a little while, I felt it was time to leave, but I wanted to explore deeper and find the old springhouse at the bottom of the old meadow. After another ten minutes I found it, and then stood in the clearing framed by towering ash and oak trees. The stillness continued, within and without. Finally, it felt that all was complete.
Just as I neared the edge of the wood, and the beginning of the lawn near the farmhouse, and sudden and swift movement 30 feet ahead crossed the path in front of me from left to right, startling me out of my reverie. Whatever it was moved silently and about four feet above the ground. There was no sound on the forest floor of hooves or wings, and the vegetation remained still, as if nothing had disturbed it. Was it a manifestation of Ariel, or a shapeshifter energy that belonged to the wood? I stood rooted in that spot for moment, waiting for clarity, but none came. I then walked forward and emerged onto the lawn.
The rest of my journey after that day was spent meeting with three friends of mine from the era of my first conscious spiritual journeying while I was still living in Allentown, followed by a brief visit to a place there where I had a NDE, or near-death experience around my 21st birthday. That’s a story for another time. I returned to New Jersey a few days later, spent some time shopping, and then bid my adieus to Sheryl and Laila, and boarded my return flight to Scotland.
After my return home, I reflected once again on the importance of closure with one’s past, and how necessary it is in our journey back to wholeness and Self-realization that we collect our ghosts, wounded kids and soul fragments so that we can move forward free from the past’s grip in our unconscious. I had now finally made my journey to heal connection to my parentage and ancestral lineage, my place of origin, and also my country of origin. The process of healing and integrating that will go on for some time I suppose, but the apron strings have been cut, and many wounds salved. And even though I remain a citizen of America, and a welcome guest in the United Kingdom, I know now that in reality I belong no-where and to no-thing, and that everywhere is inside me as I am inside of it.
