"One Ring"
I recently saw "Lord of the Rings." After leaving the theatre I realized how intensely activating this film was, and I felt worn-out to the point that I really had no feeling about whether it was a great movie, or faithful to the book, or well well just about anything. In fact, I felt like I was in shock and unable to feel any particular or distinctive emotion.
As the hours passed I realized what the main impact of the film had been, and I reflected back to the early 1970's when I had read the original trilogy. Over the next 10 years or so, I ended up reading the entire tale twelve times, including the prequel (the Silmarillion) three times. The thing that struck me most about J.R.R. Tolkien's storytelling were the intricate and passionate descriptions about the natural beauty of Middle-Earth, and he also did not hide his contempt for Dark Lord's desire to poison and ruin the living things of the world. Sauron was not just concerned with enslaving hobbits, elves, men and dwarves, he also was the sworn enemy of the natural world, and his twisted hatred was reflected in the tortured landscapes of his own realm.
The Fellowship of the Ring is a masterpiece of movie making, and it is also an incredibly powerful delivery system for the audience to experience (especially at subconscious levels) the attempts by some of the characters to dominate nature in the pursuit of absolute Power. For me, one of the most painful scenes is when Saruman, a wizard who has become corrupted by his lust for the Ring of Power, decides to destroy the forests surrounding his fortress and turn the entire plain into a ugly and ruinous complex of factories, forges and armories. The trees are uprooted by his army of genetically cloned copies of men, and chopped for fuel to be used in the forging of weapons. The few people I have talked to regarding this scene also felt like they were watching members of their own family being tortured and killed in front of them. I was astonished by the power this scene had, and I was also amazed at the fact that this portrayal was not even in the original book! The producer, Peter Jackson, inserted this himself, and has done the world a service by helping us recognize a kinship with life, no matter what form it happens to be in.
This film and story seem to mirror us, and how we have, and are, treating this planet. Through our worship of outer technologies we have lessened rather than enhanced the quality of life upon this Earth. I understand the arguments that we must somehow harmonize these technologies with our environment, and that may indeed be possible if we change our hearts and priorities. However, when we honestly look around us in these times, we can clearly discern that those forces in the world that espouse progress and development over livability and sustainability are looking more and more like Sauron, Saruman and all the orcs of Middle-Earth, rather than benefactors of humanity and friends of Nature.
In Tolkien's fable, it was the simplest of folk that were the friends and protectors of the air, the waters, the trees and all things living. I am also aware that Tolkien despised allegory of any stripe, and forcibly argued that this grand fantasy he concocted bore no resemblance to the modern world he inhabited. Frankly, it does not matter how or through whom a Truth comes, and it is plain to see that this kindly scholar was in some way keenly aware of the temptation that absolute power has on the human psyche.
So we find ourselves here at the beginning of a New Year. What will we do with this time that we have? What shall we do with the task that is before us? What shall we do with the Ring of Power? Do we have the strength of character to reject the temptation it offers, and change the direction in which we are headed? We are certainly capable of saying no to fear and we also must recognize that there is no person or persons who are the enemy, and that the only adversary is a distorted idea of love
To face this adversary that lies within, we will have to summon our compassion and courage, our strength and our wits, and most of all our sense of humor and unconditional love. It will also be necessary for some of us to follow our inner guidance and act in accordance with our principles to challenge the distorted love that is in the hearts of our brothers and sisters. We are not here to save the world, but to inhabit it in innocence, balance, harmony and honesty.
That innocence is portrayed in the heart of a small hobbit named Fordo Baggins, and only an innocent heart can resist the temptation of a Ring of Power. Carry it well.
Peace,
Isaac

"Letting Go"Hello this is one of those times that I really am speechless. So, I won't make any speeches. What I do have to offer is this; accept everything that shows up in your life. If you struggle against it, it'll just hang around longer sometimes painfully so (of course, you could just Grace it and move on). The quicker you let go, of whatever it might be, the quicker you'll be at peace. Then, after that you can choose to create something differently. Just fahget about it already, OK?
I had to keep this short for another reason. This month is Ariel's State of the Planet and 2002 Road Report thing. It's kind of long. There you have it, and I will write to you again before April Fools Day. In the meantime, be loose.
Peace,
IsaacP.S. The Dolphins are calling, the Dolphins are calling. See the Calendar...

"Walking on Thin Air"
An odd thing is happening in my life. I am slowly watching myself. Just that I am slowly watching myself. Watching the road ahead of me rising out of the mists of mystery as the road behind me disappears, removing all trace of retreat or rethink.
I am collaborating with Spirit, yet I Am the Spirit I am collaborating with. I think I am talking with myself (to My Self?) these days. I have been saying to myself, or My Self is saying to me, slow down and watch how I am "being" with the current energies on Planet Earth. Slow down and you will find "Me" smiling behind all the "stuff" that is going on.
Notice the "buildup" that is occurring? Of course, how could you miss it? The energies on the planet are becoming more intense, and the agendas are becoming more and more apparent. The overwhelming tendency is to become intense right along with the world. Lately, I having been observing that I am becoming less inclined to allow the craziness to run my experience or distort my view. Creating "clear space" inside has become very important. The consequence of not dealing with internal "clutter" is creating all types of havoc, and for many (including me) it is manifesting in the body. Transmutational flu anyone?
As I have been tossing out the trash, a new perception is beginning to take root. Even as I plant new intentions along with the flowers, I really am OK with NOT KNOWING what the next moment will bring, satisfied with allowing the Tao to reveal more of Itself within the context of Life. The road is appearing before me, as it appears before Me, and not a moment sooner or later. Whew! What a relief there IS another stretch of pavement for me to step onto. And before I get to complacent and comfortable, I begin to notice that the surefooted road is nothing more than a highway of air, a boulevard of gossamer cobblestones, a freeway of shifting visions and sunlit mists.
Just like the Fool in the Tarot, excuse me while I step off of this cliff into thin air.
Trust it.
Peace,
Isaac

"Planting a Seed"
Happy May Day and merry meet, o' Beltane fans! This is a good time for digging in the dirt, turning over the soil in your garden and roto-tilling your ego, cause it is time for spring planting.
So much seems to be riding on this next 30-day period, and it is going to get a bit stranger as we move forward into it. Instead of watching the clock, the calendar, and the grass growing, I will recommend beginning to imagine something new and exciting to play with in your life. It's called playing at being enlightened.
A good and wise friend suggested this idea to me the other day (I think she got it from somewhere else, though I don't remember where), and even though it struck me oddly upon first hearing, I am beginning to ease into it. Instead of wrestling with doubt, just make-believe that you're enlightened and fearless. Rather than suppress fears, just pretend that you are courageous and walk through the fear. Give up on trying to figure anything out, and just enjoy your infinite wisdom. Throw your artificial identity in the trash, and play the Master.
Remember that old New Thought thing about acting "as if?" Well? Some of you may balk and think, " what is it that Enlightened Masters DO?" The answer is obvious; they are being whatever their Spirit chooses for them to BE. In other words, stop acting like a human and act like the Spirit you are. This is a test of sorts, or at least it seems to look that way at times.
The reason I feel compelled (there's that old "follow your Spirit" thing) to share this is that I am choosing to call attention to taking an uplifting stance "for" the divinity that is in ALL human beings, rather than casting aspersions (or ripe produce) at certain parts of the collective consciousness. Hey, some of us in the human family are acting out some pretty ridiculous "end of the world" scenarios, and a good dose of Masterful acting out would probably be like a slap of cold water on some faces. If you see something going on out there in the world that looks silly and pointless, do what a Master does make fun of it! I am referring here to the use of intelligent humor to raise awareness and expose seriousness, not to make light of the suffering of others.
There is another game Masters can play too. Its called not playing the game. Simply look at the way the planetary game is set up, and then choose what not to participate in anymore. Turn in your need to conform. All you stand to lose is everything. Unless you are willing to lose yourself and everything, you can't have it all. Risk is an acceptable part of living. Perhaps it is what makes us truly alive. Masters are always about living on the edge of something.
I am planting a seed today. May this seed awaken in you the opportunity to make a difference by seeing yourself differently, so that you will make a demonstration of your enlightenment for others to see and emulate. Even if only one person is effected by your willingness to "make believe" then that is enough. Be sure of one thing though the whole world will be watching.
Peace,
Isaac

"Courage"
During the past few months I have had the opportunity to hear a few of the people who have been traveling around the U.S. presenting alternative information on current events, and challenging the accepted versions by the government and media about the circumstances around Sept. 11th, 2001, the War on Terrorism and many related issues. Some of the stories about these folks could easily be described as "profiles in courage."
One of these brave souls is Michael Ruppert, an independent journalist and investigator who was once part of the Los Angeles Police Department. His presentation deals specifically with the facts, not theories, around 9/11 and related events. The evidence he presents is entirely factual and from the media, declassified government documents, court records and affidavits. Through all of his work is a dedication to uncovering the truth and motivating the people to reclaim their power.
Dr. Steven Greer also came to my hometown recently to present his "Disclosure Project", calling upon the U.S and other countries to end the secrecy around the ET/UFO issue. His persistence has resulted in over 500 former commercial and military aviation professionals, scientists and researchers coming forward as credible witnesses to the existence of extraterrestrial life, thereby exerting pressure on the U.S. Government to "come clean" and tell the American people and the world the truth.
Finally, I was especially excited to be able to hear Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio give a presentation on his desire to create a Department of Peace in the U.S. government. He is the origin of the famous "Prayer for America" that circulated over the Internet this past February. Rep. Kucinich is a meditator, and has been a student of spirituality and metaphysics since his teens. His clarity and fresh ideas on how to change our world through raising our consciousness was inspiring, and his passion and devotion was very visible.
There are many others, some from the mainstream, and some who are voices in the wilderness that are actively demonstrating their spiritual principles through service to others. What is compelling is that they are speaking up, and setting an example for everyone. This does not mean that other forms of expression are obsolete, or that there haven't been other pioneers and champions for the truth, but it does mean that the dialog is now rising above mere politics and into the realm of spiritual discourse and awareness and it is reaching into the mainstream, to all of us.
I am duly inspired and challenged by the examples I have given above, and it is my intention to rededicate my self to speaking and demonstrating my truth; openly, fiercely and passionately. All of us have a piece of the puzzle, a part to play, and when enough minds are thinking the same thoughts, and enough voices are speaking the same words, and enough people are expressing and demonstrating who they are, then we will have an effect, we will have an impact, and we will make a difference. We will BE the difference.
We will, in effect, become the change we seek, and in the unity of consciousness that will become manifest in our collective experience.May we all meditate and ask our spirit to come forth in us and through us, trusting that in the moment we speak, that the words of Truth will ring forth unmistakably, and awaken those who have the ears to hear. It will take courage to do this.
Is that courage in you? What will you say? Everyone is listening and waiting.
Peace,
Isaac

"Prayer"
The past month and a half has provided me with enough new experiences for an entire year and half. It is really unimportant as to what I have experienced, compared to how it was experienced. However, it did illustrate for me exactly how important the practice of surrender is.
About mid-June I began to experiment with my disciplines for manifestation. I began to see that much of what I was preferring and intentioning was coming to me, but there were still many gaps and obstacles that were showing up as well. Inconsistency was the new issue, and I could see that I was somehow blocking a continuous flow of my own good to me. I also became aware of how much I was beginning to feel lethargic about even doing the disciplines, even knowing that they brought results. Lethargy eventually began to give way to a mild disdain for putting out energy for anything. Sure enough, I saw the machinery I had set in motion gradually becoming still. I then became still as well.
After some reflection, I determined that I was just plain tired of many of the concepts, disciplines and ideas that had previously driven me toward this or that goal. In this tiredness, I noticed that rather than feeling part of a "team", I had become the central part of my cocreation process. This was sapping all of the passion and spontaneity. Where had the joy gone? More importantly, where did my connection to Self go? Well, of course, it hadn't gone anywhere but I sure had.
I began to pray. My prayer was now oriented a bit differently. Instead of purely decreeing this or that, and just claiming it as before, I started to cultivate a sense of awe and humility before I claimed it, and then actively surrendered. I literally began to state that I surrendered the idea that I could even manifest anything, or that which I was calling forth was even important to me. In short, I freed up more of my false perception to control the Universe. I stopped thinking that I knew anything.
Shortly after I started this (about 144 hours afterward) everything I had been "praying" about manifested. Not all of it manifested the way I expected it to, indeed some of it was a call to let go of some things and people that were dear to me, however the answers were swift, concise, clear and real. All things flowed together for the best and highest, and they were the catalyst for great change and new growth.
Now that we are facing some difficult and challenging times on this Planet, it will be critically important to use the power of prayer and vision to access the Greater Power that holds the keys to all the solutions we require, whether personal or global. The choice is here and now, and as bearers of Light, it is our birthright and responsibility to embody our divinity through surrendering to that Great Self within. That Self asks nothing and requires nothing, as it is beyond needing anything. As the pure love it is, it only invites us to merge into the Presence, and then in our innocence we can say, "This is our vision for this Earth, this is the peace and healing we desire for all beings. Reveal the solutions through us."
We are currently experiencing a great opportunity to imprint a positive vision within the global thoughtform. Since late August, the divine blueprint in time has gifted us an aspect known as Jupiter in Cancer squared Neptune in Aquarius. Now is the time to counter-balance the distortions within consciousness and the media with supportive collective prayer and meditation. Spirit always provides an easy avenue through which to work miracles and offset the lessons and challenges of other aspects. On October 21st, Neptune (which has been in retrograde motion) will go direct, and the predominant vision or collective thoughtform will begin to become apparent. We are the channel for the vision of peace, and may we humbly step forward and show up on all layers and levels in the name of Love.
Above all, remember two things. Jesus always offered the following whenever miracles were attributed to him on a personal level, "I of myself cannot do these things. It is the Father within that doeth the works." The last thing is St.Germain's old standby, "Everything IS in Divine Order." Above all, let us pray.
Peace,
Isaac
